The history of the Ronca winery is not the traditional story of land handed down from father to son for generations, but it is nevertheless linked to what it takes to grow vines: the land. In 1946 the founder of the family, Ulderico Ronca, left to his wife and children a plot of land in the province of Verona. Ten years later, Walter Ronca and his brothers sold this plot of land to obtain the necessary funds to start an industrial activity that developed and flourished over time.

Tasty, easy going wines from a lovely bio-family farm that not only produce traditional grapes but also, interestedly enough, hectars of Kiwi. Since the 1970’s the Ronca family has been tending their vines  on the gentile hills in of the Sommacampagna area in the Venento.  It started with Ulterico then to his son Walter, and finally to Massimo who lives at the Sommacampagna winery estate with his family and his parents. Situated the area south Lake Garda, the pristine vineyards and winery sit on a breezy knoll where the 3 generations of The Ronca family live and work and play.
The family's vineyards are located in the historic Bardolino and Custoza DOC area, south of Garda Lake, within the Sommacampagna district. It is here where they grow mostly autochthonous grape varieials-  Garganega, Trebbianello, Trebbiano Toscano, Corvina, and Rondinella.  The Morenic hills of the area are known for producing wines that are rich with minerality and brightness.
